Carolyn Tomao, owner of ABC CPR Services, Inc. has always cared deeply about empowering people to take action when someone is in need.
“It’s important to me to educate people both on saving a life and also preventing lifelong disability,” Carolyn says, “With a few simple skills, family and friends can enormously improve outcomes when someone is experiencing a stroke, heart attack, or other life threatening emergencies –precious minutes can be saved when those on hand know the right steps to take.”
Carolyn, herself has been a registered nurse for 20 plus years and took the AHA Instructor course in 1995. She first trained her own friends, family and colleagues. Seeing the gap between the number of those in her community who needed to learn the skills and the amount of courses available, Carolyn jumped to fill the need and launched ABC CPR Services in 1996.
Carolyn’s background is a registered nurse specializing in cardiac care, currently working as admission nurse part-time in the Emergency room setting. She has just completed her Masters in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and has a Bachelors in Nursing from Framingham State College.
